A mediados de 2016 se me encargó la música para el mediometraje documental “Amaicha, la lucha por la tradición”. Para ello hice algo que no había intentado antes, lejos del trabajo con midi, mucha computadora y mucha producción que venía haciendo para audiovisual, trabajé con guitarra criolla sola y tocada en vivo, sin edición ni sobregrabaciones. Muy simple pero a la vez complicado ya que tuve que ensayar mucho para poder clavar las piezas enteras. También traté de hacer una música que no sea obviamente folclórica o vallista. Seguramente publicaré la suite entera, que me gusta mucho, cuando se estrene la película, pero aquí va una muestra.

In mid 2016 I was commissioned to make the music for the medium-lenght documentary “Amaicha, la lucha por la tradición”. And I did something I’ve never tried before, far from working with MIDI, lots of computer, lots of production as I’d been doing for film/TV, I worked with spanish guitar alone, played live, without edits or overdubbings. Very simple but at the same time complicated since I had to rehearse a lot to be able to get the whole pieces right on record. I also tried to do a music that was not obviously folkloric. I will surely publish the whole suite, which I like very much, once the film is premiered, but there goes a sample of it.
