A mediados de 1999, los Chicles hicimos una convivencia de un fin de semana en la casa de Gerardo Cúneo, en la calle Gobernador Gutierrez, con el objetivo de escribir nuestro repertorio con la nueva formación electrónica. Recuerdo tocar sin parar durante tres días y noches, ese fin de semana. Recuerdo despertarme en el living una madrugada, mientras los demás dormían y escribir "Canción de lo irreparable", por ejemplo. Una de las primeras cosas que salieron en esa convivencia fue "Azúcar y sal". Martín Villa sampleó un disco de Buddy Holly y comenzó a disparar un loop, y Gerardo Cúneo comenzamos a tocar ésta especie de bolero repetitivo arriba, con guitarras criollas. Si mal no recuerdo, se terminó muy rápido, en cuestión de media hora.

In mid 1999, Los Chicles spent a weekend living and working hard in Gerardo Cúneo’s house in Gobernador Gutierrez street, with the aim of composing our new repertoire for our now electronic lineup. I remember playing nonstop for three days and three night that weekend. I remember waking up in the living room one night, as the others slept, and writing "Canción de lo Irreparable", for instance. One of the first song we wrote that weekend was "Azúcar y Sal". Martín Villa sampled a Buddy Holly record and started shooting a loop, then Gerardo Cúneo and I started playing this repetitive bolero bit on top of it, with spanish guitars. If I remember well, it was done really fast, in question of half an hour.
